In our country with extensive distribution of iron and manganese groundwater causedproblem to people’s production and life bring trouble.Jiangxi province rural drinking watersources for groundwater mostly. At present, some contain iron and manganese groundwaterwater was polluted by a large extent, Water quality often still can not reach drinking standardseven though the traditional processing,That is increasing the difficulty of wipe out of the ironand manganese.It is the problems that our province is dealing with. The theory of the fixationand removal of mamganese broke a new path for the iron and manganese removal fromgroundwater.An economic and feasible way was found.In fact, zeolite is more lighter andless water of back wash than manganese-greensand.Hence, removal of iron and manganese should be upgrade.To find a filter media insteadof manganese-greensand is very important. The result of this experience provide a referencefor application whom is this skill.This paper prepared the manganese-greensand and zeolite as filter media. Through theinoculation of the training of the expanding groundwater stood the mixed bacteria mud,domestication of film of forming a biological hang way except iron and manganese filtermaterial, used to deal with artificial simulation contain iron manganese groundwater. As longas220days in the study, the two kinds of filter material for removing iron and manganeseability difference.The pilot device during the operation of filter layer distribution of observingthe microbes. And on one of them to separate out the microbial exploration identification.The results are as follows: the whole winter test, two kinds of filter materials in all haveiron ability and have little difference, water content of iron for4.46mg/L the removal rate of96%and99%, respectively. The water reached the living and drinking water hygienestandards (GB5749-2006) TFe <0.3mg/L standards. Manganese-greensand filter media onlyshow a period of manganese removal ability, zeolite filter material in the early of the test onlymanganese removal ability. Test last stage of spring-summer, two kinds of filter media in theiron and manganese show strong for removing iron and manganese ability, includingmanganese sand filter material in the iron aspects should be a little better than zeolite filtermaterial, when filter velocity to6.5m/h, iron concentration of6.24mg/L,manganese-greensand filter column is still up to national standards, and the limit load forfilter zeolite speed6.5m/h, iron concentration of4.79mg/L. And manganese-greensand filtermaterial has a short maturity than zeolite filter material.Establish biological filter layer later,two kinds of filter materials, removal Fe、Mn and ammonia nitrogen contaminants realizes synchronization.The formation of microbiological ecological system appeared in the process of evolution,the microbes.With inorganic iron of culture medium and the culture medium JFM separatedfrom the eight strains bacteria gram’s staining the results are all negative fungus, in itsmanganese oxide of iron bacteria after organisms, only JFM-A and JFM-D two types ofbacteria for inorganic iron liquid medium performance obviously.
