The Black Carbon Aerosol (BC) as a contamination is the important component of atmosphere aerosol, which is fractal carbon mainly produced by fossil fuel and biomass fuel. The BC not only reduces the air visibility and affects the climate, but also harms human body, so it is very necessary to monitor the BC continuously. The BC monitoring system uses optics attenuation detection method to real-time monitor the BC concentration, the hardware part of which selects MSP430SCM and the software part selects Delphi7as the application program development platform.According to the detection theory and practical requirement of the BC monitoring system, the paper designs the BC monitoring software system based on serial communication. The paper selects application program development tool Delphi7to redact interface software and SQL Server2000as the background database, selects Windows XP as interface operating platform and modular programming as main mentality, designs inversion algorithm for voltage changing to concentration by improving the innovation to the traditional optics attenuation detection method and define communication protocol to realize serial communication, and combines Delphi widgets and related Pascal language to design the interface operating software of BC monitoring system. The interface operating software of BC monitoring system includes main monitoring interface, system setting interface, system testing interface, installing filter paper interface and serial port setting interface.By comprehensive test of the software system, the software system can realize real-time read and display the data and control each functional module in lower MCU, can meet the require of real-time monitor the BC concentration, which has certain practical value and accumulate some experience for real-time monitor the BC concentration.
