At late stage of crude oil extraction in Daqing oil field, water-cut is very high,well condition is becoming more and more complex. Based on Daqing oil field, a highperformance stator rubber of PCP need to be developed to meet the requirement of oilexploitation in Daqing oil field. It can expand the application of PCP and extend thepump life. It’s also very important to stabilizing oil production, saving energy andreducing consumption.The experiments have shown that Nipol DN508SCR, known as a blend of rubberand plastic,can improve the temperature tolerance, tensile properties and oil resistantperformance of PCP’s stator rubber. As a kind of assistant vulcanizing agent, HVA-2being used to vulcanization system can extend plateau of vulcanizing curves, preventcure reversion from happening, and improve the rubber’s dynamic properties andbonding properties to metal. Vulkenox ZMMBI, a zinc salt of imidazole, havingsynergetic effect between two amine kinds of rubber antioxidant, can improve thematerial anti-fatigue properties and prevent from precipitating by using together.By changing the dosage of sulphur and HVA-2, effects of curing systems on thephysical and mechanical properties of rubber has been tested. The rule of sulphur andHVA-2dosage influence on tensile strength and tear strength has been found afteranalysis. Final, we make sure the best range of dosage using. By change the dosage ofcarbon black N330and plasticizer QS-2, effects of reinforcing and plasticizingsystems on the properties of rubber has be tested, the rule of two componentsinfluence on tensile strength and oil resistant performance has been found afteranalysis. Final, we make sure the best range of dosage using. Based on the previousexperiments, the orthogonal test design has been used to optimize a variety ofvariables. At the end, optimal dosage has been found and rubber formulation has beenconfirmed. To make sure that the formulation can be applied to final product, we havetested the bonding properties of rubber and metal, and the result is excellent.Based on production process in industry, we make rubber injection experimentsat different temperature and pressure. The research shows that it’s difficult to inject atlow temperature and pressure with long time. But the rubber will be scorched whentemperature is too high. After comprehensive consideration we find that the optimuminjection temperature is90℃and theoptimum injection pressure is160bar. Accordingto the calculation, it is defined that the optimum curing temperature is150℃and the optimum curing time is85min.The industrial production experiment has been taken at this rubber formulationand machining technology. A Sample PCP has been produced successfully, and theperformance index of sample PCP satisfies performance requirement, new rubberformulation and technology can be applied to industrial production.
