With the energy consumption increased and the refining industryexpanded, some problems such as the shortage and poor quality of crudeoil the environmental pollution, have become more and more serious.More attention should be paid to the work of energy-saving andconsumption reducing for the refining process&production process.First of all, the analysis method of energy utilization wascomprehensively described for petrochemical process and the3-linkstheoretical pattern of energy utilization analysis was introduced. Then, theenergy utilization process was analyzed for the220×10~4t/a wax oilhydrogenation unit in SINOPEC Luoyang Branch by adopting the3-linkstheoretical pattern. And the process principle, process technology andprocess flow of220×104~t/a wax oil hydrogenation unit were introduced.The current situation of energy consumption of the unit was analyzedcarefully and it was compared with the similar unit in petrochemical field.The problems existed in energy consumption of the unit was discoveredand a corresponding practical optimization scheme was worked out.Meanwhile, the energy-saving effects and each technical&economicindex were analyzed after optimized. After the technical transformations,the energy consumption was significantly reduced and about18.52million yuan/year can be saved.
