Research On Flavoring Effection Of Natural Flavonoid Extractive For Tobacco

There are many kinds of natural tobacco flavour, and to find the most suitable plant as well as the extraxting technology are crucial.In this thesis,the effects of eight flavonoids on improving cigarette smoke were evaluated and the results tell us that baicalin and naringin,which contain glycoside in the structure, can improve the tobacco flavor more obviously. Subsequently systemic bolting and testing results revealed that baicalin is the effective component in the scutellaria extracts.However, the crude extracts by certain concentration of ethanol are more effective than pure baicalin on improving tobacco flavour, which demonstrates that there is some other ingredient contributing for improving tobacco flavour.We also establish a method using HPLC to determin the content of baicalin in the scutellaria extractive.By comparing the extraction method on some natural plants and testing the effect for improving tobacco flavour, we get two plant extracts which can improve cigarette smoke obviously, the hull of peanut-500%alcohol extract and Radix Liriopes-50%water extract. And some other plants deserve to be futher studied, including dried apricot-PF extract, dried apricot-Gly reactant, silktree albizia bark-70%and75%alcohol extract, nightshade Hubei Wind flower-alcohol extract, scutellaria-alcohol extract dealing with DAB-6and n-butanol. And the dried apricot and Radix Liriopes are prospective deserving for further research to get the best production process as all the extracts are generall effective in improving cigarette smoke.
