Fluorescent probes which has the advantages of high sensitivity, good selectivity, and easy to operate are widely used in the detection of a variety of cation, anion and neutral molecule. Therefore, many people concern of design and synthesis the more efficient fluorescent molecules. This article focuses on BODIPY fluorescent dyes which has high efficiency of molar extinction coefficient, high efficiency of absorbance, good light stability, high fluorescence quantum yield and good sensitivity. BODIPY is a widely studied chromophores. This paper mainly introduces the spectroscopic properties of the fluoride boron(BODIPY) fluorescent dye spectroscopic properties, and focus on BODIPY which is substituted by8-aminoquinoline select for copper ions. This paper is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter, mainly on the research of the background of this thesis. Focuses on the basic knowledge of fluorescent probes, the recognition mechanism of the fluorescence probe and the progress of BODIPY dyes.In the second chapter, we designed and synthesized a highly responsive fluorescent probes of copper. BODIPY dyes was replaced by8-aminoquinoline, it has a weak fluorescence peak in acetonitrile at545nm.When added the copper ion,the fluorenscence will be significantly enhanced and redshift. In the third chapter, we study the photophysical properties of a series of symmetric and asymmetric, rigid and semi-rigid BODIPY. We discuss the influence of substituent and solvent polarity on the photophysical properties of these fluorescent compounds.
