This subject was supported by the sub-topics "Research on the chemical identification and migration and transformation and treatment process of pollutants", leading under the-major science and technology projects of national water pollution control and management (2008ZX07422-001). This research was conducted to optimize the determaination method of the alternative parameter of organic pollutants in the Yellow River reservoir water, and assess the characteristics of organic matters in different source waters, and provide some rationalizational proposals to improve water quality. The determination method of the type of organic matter is established, by optimizing the determination of biodegradability and coagulation and adsorbability of the dissolved organic matter. The parameters are that:(1) using active bio-sand static culture method to determine the biodegradable dissolved organic carbon, the size of bio-sand inoculum is0.1g(wet weight)/mL water, the incubation day and temperature are respectively9d,25℃.(2)the dosage of PAFC is50mg/L; in the fast strring stage, the strring speed and mixing time are respectively500r/min,40s; the strring speed and mixing time of the medium-speed strring stage are respectively100r/min,7min; the strring speed and mixing time of the slow strring stage are respectively60r/min,1Omin; finally,sedimentate15min.(3)the dosage of activated carbon is1.6g/L, the adsorption time is180min.The characteristics of dissolved organic matter in different water samples are determined. The water samples include raw water of different waterworks, outlet water of different water treatment units and water treated by coagulation and ozonation. The results show that:(1) in the both of Yellow River reservoir water and mountain reservoir water, the proportions of adsorbable dissolved organic matter (DOCA), dissolved organic matter can be removed by coagulated (DOCH) and biodegradable dissolved organic matter (DOCD) are respectively82.7%~94.1%、86.1%;12.6%~18.2%、9.3%;17.1%~45.9%、12.2%. So, in the both reservoir waters, the adsorbable of organic matter is high, while the the remove effect by coagulation and biodegradable of organic matter are both little. Also, the the remove effect by coagulation and biodegradable of organic matter in the Yellow River reservoir water are higher than mountain reservoir water.(2) in the outlet water of each conventional water treatment process unit, the proportion of DOCA increases3.1%~4.7%; the proportion of DOC in the molecular weight ranges of more than5000D decreases6.1%~20.5%; while the proportion of DOC in the molecular weight ranges of less than3000D increases6.6%~22.3%.(3) after ozonation, the proportion of DOCD increases3.8%-25.9%, and the proportion of-DOC in the molecular weight ranges of less than3000D increases19.7%~21.3%. It shows that conventional water treatment process and ozone oxidation can effectively remove the large molecular weight organic, but at the same time will increase the low molecular weight organic and the content of DOCA.(4) on the basis of the above results, according to water quality, the type of organic matter and the molecular weight distribution of organic matter in the raw water, the relationship between the type of organic matter and water treatment process is proposed, which provides a theoretical basis for the choice of water treatment process.
