With the deepening of theprocessof industrialization, the growing population, resources and environment crisis is increasingly becoming the major issues to hinderXinjiang’s economic and social sustainable development.Resources and environmental problems is our greatest concerntoday, is one of the many obstacles to the development of the country’seconomic and social and people’s living standards. Xinjiang is aneconomic development of backward areas, have an advantage in naturalresources, protection of natural resources work quite late, and promotingnew industrialization and resources and the environment and sustainabledevelopment process, there is considerable resources unfavorable factors,the strategy of sustainable development in Xinjiang. Therefore draw onthe experiences and lessons of international resources and environmental problems, and reform is necessary to protect resources and environmentpolicies in Xinjiang is not perfect.Report to the Seventeenth Party Congress clearly states that "to promote sound and rapid economic development, energy resources, ecological andenvironmental conservation, we must strengthen and enhance the capacity for sustainable development, adhere to the basic national policyof conserving resources and protecting the environment, the relationship between the people of the vital interests and China national survival and development must be to build a resource-conserving, environment-friendly society in a prominent position in the industrialization and modernization strategy to improve conducive to conservationof energy resources andthe protection of the laws and policies of the ecological environment, accelerate the formation of the sustainable development of institutional mechanisms.This paper has six parts: The first part is an introduction on theresearch background, the topics of the purpose and significance, andresearch status, innovation and weaknesses.
