Thermal imaging simulation of object on sea is an important part on military research in china and abroad, since infrared radiation has the features of anti-interference and better concealment, which causes a wide range of application and development on the related fields of defense and national economic construction.The environment on sea and the object structure is so complexity that it is hard to identify, test and simulate the objects. There has been some developments on simulation of the infrared radiation for object on sea in recent years, but the existing models which neglected the affects on temperature of object from the rib form in deck have some differences from the actual situation, and the processes of simulation is Inflexible. Furthermore, the methods for building Finite Element Model also need to be improved. This paper is to build the Finite Element Model and physical model, calculate the temperature field of object, then analyze the final results.In this paper, the following aspects have been done:Firstly, in order to use both the software AutoCAD and ANSYS, the two kinds of ways to build Finite Element Model is generated.Secondly, the physical model for calculating temperature field is described, including the formulas of three heat transfer methods, the energy balance equation which is used to calculate the true temperature, and the formula to calculate the surface temperature. The affects on temperature of object from the rib form in deck is in our consideration.And then, the program method in computer is adopted to achieve the program for calculating the infrared radiation field. Based on the original calculation software, the improved software change the order to calculate the factor of equation, which is more convenient to change program when there is some change in heat transfer mode. Furthermore, because the equation factors are changing at any moment, the time has been added in each file name in the improved calculation software. Some parts of the model ship and customized model files are changed to make the model general.Finally, taking a ship for an example, it shows the simulated thermal images that use the body model and surface model, then the image of model when the ribs form in deck have been considered is shown. The results got from the images have been compared and analyzed.In summary, this paper proposes two ways to build finite element model, improve the original object radiation model, and realize it in computer, obtain a series of software, which can be used to calculate the temperature field and get the simulated thermal images of object.
