This thesis is intended for devising an efficient numerical algorithm to solve anelastic friction problem. The main steps of the method include:(1)Based on thefinite element dicretization of the original problem, we eliminate the unknowns corre-sponding to the interior shape basis functions to derive an optimization problem onlyinvolving the boundary unknowns.(2) The previous problem is worked out via thePFBS method, with the linear system solved by algebraic multigrid methods at eachiteration step with high efficiency. The convergence analysis of the method devel-oped here is discussed and a number of numerical results are provided to illustrate theaccuracy and performance of the algorithm. |
