Studies show that there are many factors relevant to species invasion to new community, such as seed availability, initial species richness of the community and microsite. We conducted the field experiment in two plant communities of different successional stages. We intend to find out the factors limiting the colonization of the adding species and the effects on species richness. According to our study, we drew these conclusions:(1) Seed adding increased, species richness in both communities, and so seed availability is an important factor affecting the richness of community;(2) In communities of different successional stage, the initial species richness was not the main factor affecting the species richness of adding species, but it did have significant effect on the abundance;(3) Some factors, such as water condition, litter amount delayed the germination time of adding species, and some species could not complete the reproduction.
