Along with enlarging economic globalization and international trade, economies in different parts of the world exchanges more and more frequently, economic globalization is taking shape. As the significant connection between different economies, ports are playing more and more important role in the global supply chain development. As the busiest regions for modern economic activities, modern ports has undertaken the circulation of production factors including capital, technology, and information, and acted as the link of external trade for a country or an area. To some extent, the development of ports has profound impact on the situation of the country's overall economic development. On the basis of previous research, we try to use the application of data envelopment analysis (DEA) method to identify the existence of China's current relatively low technical efficiency of the port from the quantitative analysis perspective, and then apply supply chain operations reference (SCOR) model to define those relatively inefficient decision units in process level, attempting to locate the weak link in port logistic service process and seek for the deep-seated reasons which result in the relative inefficiency. Finally, according to results of the analysis and the corresponding conclusions based on it, we propose some advice regarding enhancing operational efficiency and further development of domestic ports as well as improving the feasibility of strategies and direction.
