WMN(Wireless Mesh Networks) is a new type of high-capacity, high-speed self-organization multi-hop, distributed broadband wireless networks. Because WMN has high reliability, strong self-healing, flexible networking, easy maintenance, low investment cost, high bandwidth and many other advantages, and the continuous development of its technology, IEEE802.16Standards Working Group uses it as a new program to solve the "last mile" bottleneck problems. For Wireless Mesh Networks, especially in a mobile environment, there are still many problems to be studied, including the MAC protocol and routing protocol have become the current research focus.Because of AOMDV routing protocols existing two shortcomings:using the minimum number of hops of the RREP reaching the source node as the route selection standards and not taking into account the status of wireless network congestion, and in-depth studying IEEE802.16d Mesh protocols, This paper realized a WMN routing protocols MPCA-AOMDV(The Mobility Prediction Congestion-Aware Ad Hoc On-demand Mutipath Distance Vector) through adding fewer fields overhead on the basis of the original AOMDV routing control packets. It discussed how to build a IEEE802.16d Mesh simulation platform based on network simulation software NS2, and established simulation environment based on this MAC simulation platform. In the same simulation environment, the MPCA-AOMDV routing protocol presented in this paper made a comparison of simulation analysis with the classic on-demand routing protocol AODV, AOMDV. The experimental results show that MPCA-AOMDV is better than AOMDV in all four wireless network performance evaluation indicators of Packet Delivery ratio, Average End-End Delay, Normalized Routing Load, Route Discovery Frequency, and this advantage is more obvious when the CBR maximum number of connections is greater than25, Packet Delivery ratio is24.2%higher than AOMDV, Average End-End Delay is Less1.1seconds than AOMDV, It proves the effectiveness of the MPCA-AOMDV routing algorithm.
