To realize the SGCC's target for Condition Maintenance of primary equipment, the existing digital substation is needed to upgrade,adding equipment condition monitoring system. Wire-less sensor network is the effective way for equipment condition monitoring systems with its advantage of Simple construction and easy extention.But the application of wireless sensor networks in the substation is only a few.mainly because the effect of the impact to the wireless communication by the complex electromagnetic interference is relatively scarce, and the effec-tive network program is relatively weak.This paper relies on major projects of national science and technology.and the results of its research will make a contribution to the promotion of digital substation.The principles and the core parameters of equipment condition monitoring are summarized in this paper,and the advantages and technical challenges for the combination are proposed between equipment condition monitoring and wireless sensor network. Secondly, this paper analyzes the status of the interference from the substation.proposes a way to anti-electromagnetic interfer-ence.The contrast experiment proves the validity of the optimization methods.On this basis.this paper gives the network monitoring system program and system configuration. According to the characteristics of the network in current substation.this paper puts forward a three layers of network structure, establishes a communication model.and demonstrates that this design is effective by the test of network communication distance, receiving sensitivity and node energy consumption. Finally, based on the actual situation that the collect control cabinet have been connected to the optical fiber Ethernet.this paper puts forward that the power supply of the routing node and terminal nodes is based on electromagnetic induction.The induction device is developed and tested at the switch yard,and the result not only proves the feasibility of the application of wireless sensor networks in substation, but also gives a specific solution.Now is the time that the digital substation upgrades to the intelligent substation,this paper will provide a beneficial train of thought,and has better application prospect.
