Archival Documents Compilation, a cultural producing and transmitting activity, is an important way of spreading archival information culture.lt can make documents become cultural legend, which realizes the accumulation of archives. Because of the transmission of archival documents compilation, we can access history, tradition and knowledge can carry on and human society can keep on developing. Based on sufficient materials, drawing the research result of others, the thesis systematically studies archival document compilation from the perspective of cultural transmission. This thesis is composed of five parts. First, this thesis analyzes the relation of archive and culture, namely the cultural property of archive, and then the meaning, process and channel of cultural transmission. Second, based on the meaning of archival documents compilation, this thesis proposes the nature of archival documents compilation, analyzes the cultural transmission function and transmission process and methods of archival documents compilation. Third, based on the new transmission media, this thesis analyzes the impact of new media on archival documents transmission, proposes the new model and new characters of archival documents compilation under the new media circumstances, and finally proposes a brand new concept of archival documents transmission. Fourth, this thesis analyzes the receivers of archive information and their feedback, and the main factors that affect the effect of archival documents compilation. Finally, this thesis analyzes the compilation result, transmission channel and method with the First Historical Archives, Shanghai Archives and Jiangxi Archives as case study.
