With the development of communications and aerospace technology, moderncommunication systems make higher and higher demands on the miniaturization andbroadband of microwave devices, which forces the microwave circuits to become thethree-dimensional microwave integrated circuits (3DMIC). Therefore, it is one of thebottlenecks to achieve transition and coupling between different layers' signals in3DMICs. And the main content of this thesis is summarized as follows:First, introduce the principle of three-dimensional (3D) integration and designsome3D-transition models.3D integration principle of3DMIC is introduced basedon the electromagnetic field mechanism of the components, which first makes thebasic components achieve the optimum configuration in3DMICs in the most naturalway, and then synthesizes the functional components necessary for3DMICs basedon the structural matching principle using the common guiding wave structures inmicrowave technology. In this way3DMICs can be synthesized without verticalstructures. It vigorously develops the method of signal transmission between thesame layer or inter-layers. Based on the3D integration principle, we synthesizesome transition structures: a microstrip-microstrip line transition, a microstrip-slotline transition and a microstrip-strip lines T connector and simulate the designedmodels with HFSS, which verifies the correctness of the design procedures.Second, develop an aided software for3DMIC design. This software is designedto afford two functions:(1) analysis and synthesis of basic components, andcomputing some common parameters, such as equivalent dielectric constant, loss andelectrical length,(2) designing of some basic transition structures based on3Dintegration principle. The software uses the MFC AppWizard dialog box applicationprogram as the framework, and the Tab Control to realize the selection and switchamong different models, and AutoCAD to draw circuit models with dimensions, andC++language combined with database technology to control and calculate the data,and Microsoft Chart Control to post-process the result. In the end, take themicrostrip line and the microstrip-slot line transition as examples to verify thecorrectness of the software.
