With the development of computer, network technology and virtual instrument technology, the network laboratory based on virtual instrument technology has matured and improved. Compared with the traditional laboratory, network laboratory has numerous advantages such as low cost, high efficiency and renewal speed. Using the network technology in the school teaching system has important realistic significance, it plays an important role in deepening the reform of education system and improve students' comprehensive quality. According to the school situation, the article analyze and chose the suitable structure and realization mode of the network laboratory. Also, design types of experiments of the course mechanical engineering control foundation.First, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of various network laboratories' architecture and select the suitable design patterns and application patterns according to the school needs. Detail introduce the key point of the realization of the network laboratory, and analyze its workflow.Secondly, specific categories of the experiment content based on syllabus of mechanical engineering control foundation. Design experiments such as basic principle experiment and complicated experiment for improve the students'ability including two-dimensional, three-dimensional physical simulation and physical control. Detail analyzes and discusses the design methods, skills and difficult problems with its solutions of these experiments.Finally this topic is summarized from two aspects of this subject, the network laboratory technology realization and mechanical engineering control experiment design. Also gives the further research directions.
