Information has become more and more important on the status and effect of social life. It is an important strategic resource of social development. Along with the development of computer network and communication system, information realize the sharing. Information technology is changing people's life and work style. Meanwhile people's demand for the security problem of information is increasing. The inherent openness of the Internet,imperfection of the Network protocol and operating system vulnerabilities and other reasons, have brought a series of safety problems to information sharing. How to ensure the information security that information can be transmitted and saved confidentiality, completly and reliably is the key in the modern network security research.Cryptography is the core and key to ensure that the information is confidential and secure. According to the relationship between encryption keys and decryption keys cryptosystem is divided into two kinds: symmetric cryptosystem and public-key cryptosystem. In this paper it gives a detailed presentation and research on the two cryptosystems, and also analyzes and discusses the typical algorithms. A detailed reaserch on symmetric cryptography, DES algorithm,is did and two improving methods based on its shortcomings are proposed.Making full use of the advantages of each cryptosystems, a kind of combined encryption algorithm is presented. The algorithm can ensure the safety and integrity of information transmission and preservation combining with the digital signature technology, and also be applied to electronic seals safety transmission system. The framework of this system is designed, and the design of each function modules are presented detailed. What's more it introduces the electronic seals and the document encryption and decryption modules, namely, the use of combined encryption algorithm modules. Finaly the concrete implementation process of the system is expounded. The analysis results show that the system can guarantee the transmission of official data and electronic seals safely, and it has broad prospects in practical application.
