The Production Of Styrene Process Control Based On PCS7

With the continuous development of industrial production, the modern automatic control systems are increasingly being used. As the controlling of the production process monitoring and information increased significantly, it requires more advanced control system, in order to complete more complex control functions, and improve production efficiency. Now DCS control system architecture itself and its related technology is very mature, the rapid development of information technology has greatly promoted the development of DCS control system. A variety of distributed control systems are used in different industries and different projects, and thus the company can finish the engineering design with high-quality and high standard, made a perfect solution for industrial technology. Siemens SIMATIC PCS7 is modular process control system which is based on field bus; it is combined with advantages of both traditional PLC and modern DCS control systems, which reflects the conception of "decentralized control, centralized management".This paper is based on a chemical plant DCS migration project which I have took part in when I have my practice in Siemens. According to the demands for modern industrial process control system; we have designed the process control system based on SIMATIC PCS7. With the system functional requirements of the user's, we began with the DCS system hardware design and network architecture; finished hardware configuration, network configuration and programming design by Siemens SIMATIC PCS7; made the PC monitor screen by WinCC. The paper presents two very typical control strategies which are named cascade control and override control in the project, actualized the simulation analysis of cascade control by Simulink, and discussed Override control strategies detailed. While the redundant filter has been designed by Sequence function control method in the project, we got a nice control effect. The system is very stable after running, and the company achieves good economic benefits.
