Nowadays, information-based medical service is the main developing direction of medical services all around the world. As the infomation techniques was widely applied and develop rapidly, more and more hospitals in our country begin to actualize their information platform construction of medical services and medical management, to improve the medical service level and competition ability in the medical field. Therefore, the combination of information-based medical service applications and basal network system construction is becoming the new information development direction in the medical organizations of our country, especially the 3A level hospitals.In order to improve the service level and competition of our hospital, on the precondition of stable running of HIS system, Affiliated Hospital of Gansu TCM College has developed and researched the LIS system, which has offered more effective system support for the laboratory work. All the processes including laboratory test application, sample collection, sample check, online test, report check, and report sending have achieved automatic laboratory information management standards, which makes the laboratory test processes more reasonable, the laboratory test and quality control management informationized, stopped the charge-lost phenomena, and reduced artificial error. Meanwhile, through the connection with HIS system and data sharing around the hospital, the professional ability of the laboratory has completely exerted, the sample testing and analysing level was improved, which has provided basal data or laboratory test science research and statistics, offered more effective assistant diagnostic services for the clinical department.
