In the 21st century, knowledge resources have become the important capital and wealth of an organization to obtain competitive advantages. The application of knowledge chain management in an organization is a new approach with which the organization deals with external changes, improve its ability of survival and competition.However, as a huge knowledge repository, the library has been confronted with transformation from information management to knowledge management. Both its content and methods of management are taking great changes, i.e. more focus on capture of tacit knowledge, recombination of knowledge, the diffusion and sharing of knowledge and the use and innovation of knowledge. This essay is aimed to study the issue of knowledge chain in library in terms of business process.This essay is divided into six chapters. ChapterⅠis a brief introduction to our research background, purpose, significance, research method and innovation. ChapterⅡexplains the rationale of this paper, including definition and connotation research of knowledge chain, the model research of knowledge chain and the management research of knowledge chain. Starting from the basic functions of library, ChapterⅢbuilds the basic business flow, and analysizes in detail each of the business process and the relationship between knowledge chain and the business process. Based on the third chapter, ChapterⅣestablishes a model of knowdelge chain based on business process. According to the model, the corresponding measures of the knowledge chain management are put forward in ChapterⅤ, in the hope of optimizing the library business process. The last chapter of this paper is a summary, and future research is also discussed.
