When the rapid development of power electronic technology brings a lot of convenience to people's production and life, harmonics problems are brought to power grid,too. Because power electronics device have some characteristics,such as nonlinear and dynamicity etc. So, the power system's pollution is more and more serious. The traditional passive filter which has some defect couldn't deal with harmonic and reactive power compensation well. But a new power electronics device which bases on the development of digital signal processing technology, Active Power Filter(APF) becomes the most efficient method to control harmonic pollution problems and improve power quality.In our country, low-voltage power supply mainly adopts three-phase four-wire system and its harmonic pollution and unbalanced three-phase problems are very serious. Therefore, this paper deeply analysises and researches three-phase four-wire system parallel APF.This paper starts with the generation of harmonic,its hazard and inhibition in power system, and raises the research status development, trend and related basic theories of APF. Mainly discussed the two basic theory of APF:harmonic detection theory and compensation control theory. Choose suitable algorithm for this system based on the improved instantaneous reactive theory of harmonic detection algorithm and 3-D SVPWM control algorithm. Then establish main circuit structure of APF, and discusses the building process of the hardware platform based on double high performance DSP core. Gives the system software flow charts of the main program, interrupt service program. Makes a simulation in MATLAB_SIMULINK to check the harmonic detection and control algorithm, and finally shows the Real photos of the experimental prototype.
