The paper mainly introduces domestic and international microwave radiometer imaging systems, the development survey about the theory and technology of radiation measuring, the current research evolution and the trend of microwave radiometer imaging in recent years , in addition, the principle of the microwave radiation characteristic to surface feature goal is concisely included. Through analyzing the relationship of sampling frequency and space resolving power, integral time and temperature resolving power of microwave radiometer imaging system, together with the achievement of the measuring work in the past, the software of imaging and the arithmetic of calibration and imaging are roundly described. As a result, the arithmetic of calibration and imaging in this system are established, moreover, a method of image processing is proposed. On the basis of the aforesaid content, twelve_dimensional microwave radiometer imaging system is prepared to be founded. The system adopts master-slave computer structure, and PC is used as master. Master computer carry on the communication through serial port RS-232 and USB. In the paper, the general structure of software, the implement of arithmetic of calibration and imaging and the programming of image processing are introduced in detail. The software of PC is designed under Microsoft Visual C + + environment of compiling, which has friendly man-machine interface, convenient and flexible function menu. On the side, the software realizes the real-time data collecting and storing, radiometer calibration and image processing on later stage.Through the deep discussion about the method of displaying microwave remote sensing picture and the technology of screen upgrading in real time, unequal size element arc imaging and equal size element parallel imaging are finished and their qualities are also compared. With a large number of images being analyzed, the imaging system is proved to have great reliability and practical value.
