3D-reconstruction from medical images is a multi-disciplinary subject. It is an important application of computer graphics and image processing in biomedicine engineering. It relates to the subjects of digital image processing, computer graphics and some related knowledge in medical area.3D-reconstruction from medical images is widely used in diagnostic, surgery planning and simulating, plastic and artificial limb surgery, radiotherapy planning, and teaching in anatomy. Study in 3D-reconstruction from medical images has important significance on science and worthiness in practical application. This paper introduces CT values, Uses adjacent domain average filtering and median filtering the image smooth processing for the noise caused by medical image acquisition process, Using Laplace sharpening to enhance the image. Finally, uses the Roberts operator, Prewitt operator, Sobel operator to segment the CT image. This Paper introduces methods of 3D medical image surface rendering and the principle and improves MC algorithm because MC algorithm exists rendering speed slow, data redundancy, connection mode of ambiguity. An algorithm is presented to improve this algorithm preference which is modify the standard MC algorithm by three ways using relation judgment to avoid ambiguity, using the midpoint method to instead of interpolation method in calculating triangle vertex, modifying the index table values of the states to reduce redundancy polygon production. This paper develops a medical image visual system based on CT image, The system can realize the reading, filtering, sharpening, edge detection to CT images, and it can use standard MC algorithm and the fast effective MC algorithm to do the 3D-reconstruction.It also can enlarge, rotate the results of the reconstruction. Experiments show that the improved algorithm can effectively shorten calculation time, improve efficiency.
