Now, cloud computing has entered into the stage with the business practices andacademic. In cloud computing platform, The tasks can be executed will be distributedinto resource poolthe formed of a large number of computer, which make a variety ofapplications that needed access to services, then, the users can obtain services in theform of the Internet.So far, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Amazon and other IT giants havelaunched their own commercial cloud computing platform, and place cloud computingin the most important strategy of the future development. Other IT companies havealso put into the cloud research and launched its own cloud platform or cloud servicesin succession. The cloud computing open source project promote academic researchon cloud computing, such as the Eucalyptus project and AppScale projects for cloudcomputing research which provides an experimental platform,which AppScale issuitable for academic research with code in open source and scalability inarchitecture.Currently, most of cloud services are provided to users in nocharge.However, the billing for cloud services which drive the cloud computing innertechnology research from the external play a important role in promting thecommercialization of cloud computing.This paper which focuses on key technologies under cloud computing launched awide range of theoretical and technical research, the major research works in paperare as following:Studied AppScale platform resource monitoring framework and implementationtechniques. Firstly,the paper has a research on monitoring architecture ofAppScale,which use master-slave model to monitor system;secondly, the paperfocuses on the collected architecture, and the way to achieve a variety of systemmonitoring and to add performance monitoring indicators into new script; Then thepaper focuses on studying of the different between node-level and process-levelgranularity of monitor;next,we improve the resource monitoring mechanism ofAppScale platform from process-level monitor in granularity,we achieve appmonitorshell script for applications ; finally, we find the way to integrate collectd into AppScale.Researched billing mechanisms and billing factor under the traditional network,we found that it mainly bills the network resources. to study the billing mechanismsand billing factor the existing cloud platform,we found there are many billing factors incloud computing environments, it's billing mechanism is more complex than theformer. Then we determine the factor of AppScale platform,because there are many the refinement of monitoring indicators for charging,the paper use the strategy thatuse simple weigthing method to integrate the index of refinement .finally,we use theweb framework named ruby on rails to develop cloud platform billing system which isnamed CloudMB system based on improved monitor mechanism of AppScale , andintegrate it into AppScale platform to achieve billing in AppScale platform.
