Design And Implementation Of University Scientific Research Project Management System

At present, the requirement of digitalization construction of information management becomes higher and higher while the information management of scientific research projects is a very important component. In the education field, it's significant to build an efficient, stable and extensible management platform by the means of modern technology to implement the digital management of scientific research projects and improve communications among administrative departments.This thesis analyses the requirements of the information management of scientific research projects and proposes the design scheme of university scientific research project management system according to the characteristics of these projects. The system is based on the layered design principle of J2EE, while it's built with Struts Spring Hibernate (SSH) framework and adopts the access control permissions based on Rule-Base Access Control (RBAC), besides, it implements the general-utility design via generic interface-oriented programming.According to the framework design, the thesis mainly designs and implements three functional modules including basic data, project application, and project management. The basic data module implements the general information management which includes user management, personal information, unit management, etc.; the project application module includes services related to project application procedure such as project application, project review and evaluation, the establishment of projects, etc. while the established project management is implemented by the project management module. This system has been tested and used, and it shows that the software functions can meet the requirements of end users.The application of scientific research project management system implements the more effective management of scientific research projects and cuts down manpower cost, meanwhile, it promotes the communication among functional departments and becomes the necessary condition for universities to set up a scientific and reasonable information management mechanism.
