With the increasing demand of urban transport,the problems such as traffic jams have affected urban environment. Public transport compared with other modes of transport, has incomparable advantage of large capacity. To realize the intelligent management of public transport and improve public transport information service has become an effective measure to solve the problems of urban roads.WebGIS-based scheduling and monitoring intelligent public transport system has been well implemented in PC, it improved the management efficiency of transport scheduling. With the rapid development of wireless communication technology and the popularity of mobile devices, mobile GIS has been one of the most important development directions in GIS domain. Mobile bus information system is a powerful intelligent expansion of public transportation information system. People can get transport information anytime by using mobile bus information system, it allows people to access information more quickly.The theme of the article is to establish the bus information service system. It makes use of the vehicle information by WebGIS effectively, mobile client technology and server-side technology research and practice are all carried out.First, the paper analyses the characteristics of resource-constrained mobile devices, J2ME mobile client technology is selected as a way of development to get the server real-time data. Multi-threading technology is used for the key response, access to location data, networking and other operations on the client. The choice of the map format, SVG vector format is chosed, compared to a distortion of the grid map to in terms of zoom,also designs SVG layers. Client applies JSR226 package to render SVG documents of the server-side, reduce the amount of information downloaded from the server. The paper designs a path query algorithm based on real-time vehicle to select the shortest path, studies the geographical coordinates conversion to provide bus routes, line, station and other information to users, verifies its effect.The study completed mobile bus information service system based on the key technoly by the experimental data of some city, and thus verified done in this paper is practical and worthy.
