With the society's rapid progress and the rapid development of modern science and technology, the data acquisition and processing technology is more applied in all areas of human life and is more and more important in industrial production and scientific research. As the electronic technology development and the need of scientific research, data acquisition of single AD can no longer meet the requirements. Especially for the radar signal, transient measurement and the relevant signals that need to be measured at the same time, the multi-channel data acquisition and processing would have the better performance. The Field Programmable Gate Array FPGA, which develops rapidly, has more advantages than DSP.Based on FPGA, a data acquisition card is designed to acquire the signal of 32 channels and analyze it.First, the basic theory of data acquisition and status is introduced, and then the main contents and chapter structure of this article is described.Secondly, the hardware circuit of the multi-channel data acquisition card based on FPGA is designed in detail, including the A/D converter analog circuit, FPGA and its peripheral circuit, the fiber optic interface circuit and the power circuit. The ADC AD7723 can also be controlled, the choice of internal and external clock, the internal and external triggering included. Each circuit block is given the specific schematics and the PCB of hardware circuit is also given.Thirdly, the ADC output data format and the application of FIFO are described in detail, then the process of the FPGA design is introduced in brief. Based on the above, the communication module is designed in the FPGA and then the function simulation results and the timing simulation results are given.Finally, summarize the finished work and propose somewhere for further development.
