Three Olympic Games. Authority Of The Sino-us Media Reported Comparative Study

By quantitative analysis and text analysis, this dissertation do some research on Olympic news reports between New York Times and People's Daily. Disregarded the traditional way to compare these two media, which just focuses on a signal game, this dissertation compare with these two media from both space and time, based on the different holding countries. Study the difference when the two media do Olympic news reports on their own country and the other. To discover the reasons for what those difference and similarities exist between the two media'reports on Olympic Games. Further more to prove that, the effect of the law of news value, the influence of local cultural on the two medias and the political and economic interests leads to the difference between these two's Olympic new reports. Meanwhile, to provide some useful news reports experiences on Olympic is another realistic value of this research.
