| Authentication, Authorization and Accounting is one of the basic functions of the present network, so the AAA server plays a very important position in the telecommunications operators business. But with the rapid development of Internet in recent years, more and more new technologies which greatly improve the complexity of networks are introduced, So the existing AAA protocols (Radius, Tacacs+) can not fully meet the requirements of current and future IP networks, especially for the growing demand of the NGN era's AAA services. This requires a new AAA protocol standard, and diameter protocol which is adopted as next-generation AAA protocol standards by IETF's working group.NGN,WCDMA and CDMA2000 future communication network etc have already take the DIAM-ETER protocol as the preferred AAA protocol in ITU,3GPP/3GPP2 international standards organization etc.Diameter protocol has the advantages of reliable transport mechanism, fault recovery mechanisms, the separation of authentication and authorization, proxy support, etc,so it is used many times in 3G system that is defined by 3GPP.This paper is researched the design and implementation of AAA service based on Diameter protocol. Firstly, it introduces the application status and the direction of future development of AAA service. Secondly, I design the AAA system's modular based on the researches and analysises the Diameter protocol particularly in order to achieve a complete state maintenance mechanism of peer nodes,the reliable connection-oriented transport mechanism, sensitive failure control and detection mechanism and capability negotiation mechanism between the nodes, which can use SQL statement to achieve the functions of authentication, authorization, accounting and support the interface between the online billing system. Meanwhile, the design achieve the AAA integration with fixed, WLAN and mobile network. Finally, a number of Diameter commands which is supported by the AAA services are tested in this paper. |
