This thesis analyzes and makes an investigation on open source software of world wind C# , uses VS2005 as the developing platform, designs a video plug-in developing method on World Wind platform and implements the function of real time display of videos on geo-browser platform. The combination of geo-browser and video monitoring system can not only execute real time displaying,but also location the monitored area and display the coordinates.The rapid development of Internet technology has affected various areas.People use low-cost IP network resources to complete the dynamic realtime transition of the monitoring pictures。For now, we are able to get into our systems at any time and any where to gain the desired video,audio and other monitoring information.The video monitoring system extremly changes traditional video monitoring methods,fully utilizing rapidly developed network technology to implement the video monitoring system with "no limit space,no limit time".The current wireless network provides more efficient and flexible bearer service of network.We can use wireless network to implement video monitoring to cover the places that cable network can not be reached.The intelligence of video monitoring system is implemented by monitoring software.Without monitoring software,it's like lacking of judging capability even with the eyes of observing society.With the increasing requirement of spatial information application and the popularity of GIS platform, current GIS platform can only utilize normal 2D web to implement video monitoring.With the growing demand of 3D spatial data, how to load video and making realtime displaying on 3D space becomes the most valubable question.Geo-browser/Distributed spatial data servers(G/S) is a emerging spatial information service model based on Internet. G ,represents Geo-browser ,not only possesses all the functions of web browser ,but also provides 3D visulization and 3D model displaying.Geo-browser will be the main developing browser based on Internet. So, it must be a good choice to make a combination of geo-browser and video monitoring system.We can not only observing geographical information via geo-browser,but also the realtime display of monitoring places. The development of geo-browser platform based on G/S model not only implements the combination of video data and coordinates ,but also improves the capability of data processing of geo-browser.This thesis mainly discusses the theory and exhibits the applications according to the following points:1. Put forward a video plug-in developing method on geo-browser based on G/S model. The video plug-in is a realtime displaying function developed on World Wind geo-browser platform according to plug-in developing mechanism.2. Designing a realtime video monitoring system based on geo-browser platform.The monitoring system utilizes the above video plug-in developing method, establishes developing platform and implements realtime video monitoring.3. Implementing the combination of video data and geographical coordinates data and enforces the capability of geo-browser to combine video monitoring data with 3D geographical information data.
