With the development of the times, industrialization process continues to accelerate and the energy consumption is growing rapidly, which make the energy crisis and environment problems becomes more and more serious. Because of this, people begin to exploit new energies vigorously, e. g. solar power, nuclear power and tidal energy. And all these new energies increasingly get favor of people, especially the using of nuclear power. Yet as the nuclear power is used more and more widely, the problem of radioactive contamination emerges. Radioactive contamination refers to the radioactive materials or rays on the surfaces or in some materials, human bodies, places and environmental media that are caused by human activities and are exceeded the national standards. Under the circumstance of environment protection, radioactive contamination becomes the most crucial among all the environmental problems, and also it is a common topic for the whole world to probe continuously. At the present stage, to keep up with the up-to-date development of the technologies, more and more colleges admit more and more students who major in nuclear engineering. Besides, there are more and more institutes related to nuclear research. Subsequently, nuclear tests are increasing gradually. Therefore, how to test and protect against the radiation released by nuclear tests becomes urgent. Thus, a set of wireless automatic alarming devices, which can be used in the environment of nuclear fallouts, need to be developed immediately. With scientific popularization and the improvement of people's living, people pay more attention to the radiological hazards when they decorate their house. However, because the radiological detectors used by professional are very expensive, the general public cannot afford. Considering this, the multi-purpose radiation dose wireless alarming device was developed by the project, which not only has the function of testing but also the function of alarming. Apart from this, this device is cheap, easy to take and operate, all of which can satisfy the non-professionals'needs for nuclear detection. The thesis, consisting of six chapters, elaborates the multi-purpose wireless radiation dose alarming device based on the study of status quo of the radiological detectors at home and abroad.(1) On the basis of comparing four common detectors, G-M counting tube was chosen to be the detecting element accordingly;(2) ZigBee wireless communication technology was confirmed by analyzing the merits and demerits of five kinds of short-range wireless transmission techniques;(3) Instrument design: the wireless control system consists of 89C51 SCM and so on. The relevant detection is achieved by software programming and the detection results can be seen, and the device can make buzz alarm to warn people, and the alarm light is controlled through the wireless transceiver. ZigBee wireless communication technology is studied and applied in the radiation environment of nuclear tests, and cooperates with the G-M counting tube detecting the radiation dose rate ofγrays in the detection environment, the automatic monitoring of radiation test environment and wireless alarm are realized;(4) The properties and the operational methods of the device;(5) The practical application of device; The application proves that this device has an effective radiation monitoring in the places such as nuclear laboratories, storerooms of radioactive materials and some other laboratories related to nuclear radiation. The device may alarm if the radiation is intensive which can protect the students or the experimental personnel against the radiological hazards in time.
