Software testing is one of the most important techniques used for software quality assurance, which throughout the entire life cycle of software engineering. Manual testing can not meet the needs of software development. Automated testing technology is currently one of the hot researches on testing, however, which is still in the infancy stage in our country. Most automated testing tools are developed with Capture/Replay technology. However the testing data is not so robust. Therefore, the research on automated software testing has important significance.The main reaserches in this thesis include:Deeply studied Capture/Replay, data driven and keyword driven testing technology. Made some improving work on Robot Framework after deeply reaserched it's working principle. On the basis of accurately comprehending automated testing theory and method, designed some test cases for the application. Some reaserch work about network storage techonology, and Integrated Storage Mangement (ISM) system were expanded. Realize an automated test system based on RF, and taken it into use to test the storage system.The paper first analyzed the development of automated software testing at home and abroad.Secondly introduced some basic knowledge about testing framework and put forward the testing requirement of network storage system. On the basis of analyzing testing requirement we focused on improving RF at starting ISM, at CIFS testing, at SSH testing and FTP testing. Then the Enhanced automated testing system was taken into use to test network storage system. Through the comparison and analysis of test results, we confirmed the superiority of automated test system.The realization of the automated testing system has greatly enhanced the efficiency of the test, playing an active role in shortening the product development cycle and improving the quality of products.
