New Media Evolvement Study In Medium Theory Perspective

As the changes of The Times, the progress of the society and technical updates, all kinds of new media have arisen, these new media brings to our life new experience. In the rapid development of the new media era, the discourses and events occurrence, communicate and dissipate as fragments, and become namely history.So we must promptly examine what kind of media form we are in, and explore the evolution process of the media form, and grasp the media and the development trend of how to use from a macroscopic point of view. Joshua Markowitz named the research of McLuhan, Innis, Levinson and him "medium theory" in one of his essay. He clearly put forward with singular, in order to distinguish with general "media theory", he described this research tradition by "medium theory". It research characteristics and function of one medium or one kind of media forms, evolution history of media forms, and the influence of society in different aspects.This paper puts up questions to production of micro-blog, what advantages the new media form are. This paper analyses the technical characteristics, functions and features of micro-blog; researches evolution history of micro-blog,SMS,IM,blog and SNS,then analyses similarities and differences between them; invests evolution tendency of media form in new media age; analyses some social influence of the production and change of new media.
