New Understand And Structure Of "Social Acquaintance" In The Contemporary Chinese Context

"Rural China" is the major representative works of famous Chinese social scientists Fei Xiaotong,but this book has a far-reaching impact.Fei depicts the local World "acquaintance society" image,which based on the basis of fieldwork in rural areas.The research by combing "acquaintance society", illustrates the lifestyle of acquaintance society in Local China. The study pointed out that the "local character" which created by Fei's "acquaintance society" image alreadly limit later experience of the researchers perspective and theoretical thinking. Meanwhile,the "acquaintance society" have suffered a huge variation in the market and globaliZation changes context.In fact, the "local community" is only part of the traditional Chinese,and "local" is only part of China's rural integrity.In the current context of reflection rural thematic awareness and theory of conscious,on one hand,the rural research should go beyond the single curing awareness mode, on the other hand, it also need to re-examine the existing research from the nation-state identity perspective and give necessary new solutions.The case studies of Z Village in western Yunnan have shown that "double binary pattern" ideal type of rural society, can better explain the dramatic changes of rural society in the context of globaliZation and social transformation."Double binary pattern",which means that rural social are mixed of the familiar and unfamiliar, specific mainly for the unity of the "historical roots" and "modern source","name and nature separation", and contingency action logic."Double binary pattern", should be as the integrity icon of understand social life in rural China, and be the important perspective of observed contemporary Chinese rural's evolution.In this study, the lives of ordinary people of rural social context had been taked as a combination of a "process-incident". It means we try to analyZe the process of practice of the daily life of rural society, and also means we achieve a new understanding by stressed in the large context of rural social market transformation and structural changes. A case study of this article, the role is not to inference generalization, but re-found, re-interpret the experience of the local society and re-explain the logic of competitive.
