The core of the Middle East issue is the Palestinian problem, Arab and Israeli have gone through long-term conflict only then to open the peace process. As a barometer of the Middle East peace process, Palestinian-Israeli peace process has long been one of the most popular concerns for the international community. October 30, 1991 convening of the Madrid Middle East peace conference makes a turnaround for the Middle East peace process, Palestine and Israel embarked on the path of peace talks to resolve the dispute. Nearly 20 years the Palestinian-Israeli peace negotiations have made considerable progress, both sides has signed a number of related agreements, from which we can see the United States as the most influential external force in the peace negotiations plays an important role and a leading role. In this thesis, the U.S. role in the Palestinian-Israeli peace process is studied, including the introduction, the body and the conclusion of three parts. In the introduction, the author mainly explains the aim and meaning of this subject, summarizes the relevant achievements and writing methods, etc. The body includes four chapters: the first chapter briefly reviews the origin of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the process of Arab-Israeli from all-round confrontation to peace talk. The second chapter discusses under the auspices of the United States, the Palestinian-Israeli peace talks have made great progress, with the historical facts prove that the United States is closely related to the Middle East peace process,it is the sponsor, organizer and major mediator of the Middle East peace talks. The third chapter using hierarchical analysis method, from the international level, national level and individual level of three levels to deeply analyze the behavior causes of the United States in Palestinian-Israeli peace talks. The fourth chapter from the United States-led peace process has two sides, Powers challenge to U.S. dominance and the prospect of Palestinian -Israeli peace process of three aspects to think about the U.S. role in the peace process. The last part is the conclusion. Through analysis of the problem, I think that the Palestinian-Israeli peace talk has set foot on non-return road, peace is a general trend, but the Middle East peace process long way to go. Although the United States leads the Middle East peace process, to achieve a just and lasting the Middle East peace needs the joint efforts of the international community.
