Albert Camus's novel Outsider has been long-time attractive to a great number of readers since it was published. His novel through the unique perspective and experience of main character on digging and interpreting the theme of absurdity, to reveal the absurdity of reality. The novel still has a considerable influence among the readers in the past and present society. Albert Camus, a famous French writer who holds important status in the absurd and existentialism literature area, has been favoured by numerous readers and critics with his unique philosophical concepts.However, the theoretical study of absurdity in the novel outsider is still far from sufficient in China, and the beauty of absurdity revealed in novel has even been ignored by scholars for a long time. Then, what kind of aesthetic value do the novel Outsider which mainly depict absurdity and anti-absurdity? How do they bring the aesthetically pleasant sensation to readers? And which type of aesthetic value taken of the author do they reveal? All these problems have been rarely discussed by scholars. Therefore, it's necessary and realistically significant to analyze the beauty of absurdity revealed in the novel and the aesthetic value taken of Albert Camus's novel in terms of aesthetics so that the beauty of absurdity revealed in novel can be understood and accepted by more and more readers.This paper starts with the concept of the beauty of absurdity revealed in Albert Camus's novel Outsider, and proceeding with the text to further reveal the special aesthetic value taken of novel with aesthetic principles. This paper, which firstly introduces the relationship between absurdity and aesthetics, analyzes the aesthetic value and the theoretical basis of the beauty of absurdity revealed in novel. Followed by the expatiation of the influence the existentialism trend and Camus's living space of his own on shaping his absurdity aesthetics, the paper takes a close look into the text in order to identify its beauty of absurdity, finally revealing the unique aesthetic value.The Introduction introduces the academic background and the necessity of the research.Chapter One gives an general introduction to the relationship between absurdity and aesthetic, pointing out that the course of absurdity as an aesthetic category, and give the value proposition of absurdity in aesthetic, which is different from ugly, is an kind of anomalous comedy, funny tragedy. They are the everlasting charm and the aesthetic value of the novel.Chapter Two discusses the specific aesthetic forms which derived from the absurdity, such as the beauty of metamorphosis, absurd comedy beauty and the tragedy beauty of teasing which showed in the text Outsider.Chapter Three expounds and summarizes that defamiliarization, symbol, suspense, and O.Henry-style ending are the four means of the embodiment of the beauty of absurdity in the novel in terms of writing technique.Chapter Four introduces the background of Camus's absurdity aesthetics, i.e. the influence of the trend of modern existentialism and Camus's living space of his own.Chapter Five summarizes further the aesthetic value taken of Camus based on the previous discussion.
