| Spinal disease is a common clinical disease. It often affects people's work and life, and even do seriously harmful to physical and mental health. Because of its high morbidity, the research of adolescent scoliosis become a hotspot. The purpose of this research is to help spine surgeons to deal with disease. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to fully understand the mechanical properties of spine. Only do doctors fully understand the mechanical properties of spine, they can find specific, accurate and comprehensive measures to deal with variety of spinal disease. This thesis builds the finite element model to analyze the mechanical properties of spine. It can provide reference value for spinal clinical diagnosis.Based on the CT scanning from T1to L5of adult spine, this thesis has got sampling results of DICOM format. Mimics is the three-dimensional reconstruction software. Importing sampling results into mimics, this thesis can get the curves of overall spine profile and the surface of each Vertebra. This thesis builts a3D surface grid model include spinal thoracolumbar form T1to L5, and get smoothed for the model with migics9.9.Taking into account the conditions of computer hardware and purpose of analysis, this thesis built a reasonable simplified model. This thesis use Solidworks which is a three-dimensional CAD software to build thoracolumbar model of spine and get the virtual assembly. Then use ANSYS Workbench platform to generate a finite element model which can easily switch to ANSYS for structural analysis. Because human spine structure is very complicated, the simplified model may cause the model difficultly reflect the full anatomy characteristics of the spine. This thesis makes use of the literature available experimental data and previous finite element model to verify comparison results of the rotational angle of vertebral body and von mise stress of disc under different directions of torque, and then gets better results. After selected the generated finite element model of thoraco lumbar, this thesis use the finite element analysis software ANSYS to simulate the load conditions under different directions and size. According to simulation, this thesis gets the deformation trend of overall model and the stress and strain information of key parts. In the end, this thesis makes analysis of the results. This thesis can provide a good reference value for the diagnosis of spinal scoliosis. It can help spine surgeons to deal with scoliosis and other related disease. |
