Background: Bronchial asthma is one of the most common chronic childhood diseases. Because threre is a inflammation in respiratory tract long-term it is difficult to cure. After acute infection is under control, and asthmatic symptom is relieved, Sick children still are at home and continue to receive inhaled steroid therapy for1.5 to 2 years or even longer which is the key for asthma control. In order to improve treatment effect for asthma,in addition to the receiving hospital medical treatment and care, patients must also be actively cooperate with the professional treatment in the guidance of medical personnel, which achieve a degree of self care behavior and get a long-term effective control of asthma. There are a few of reports about Asthmatic children home self-care behavior research in our country. Therefore, it is necessary to explore intervention effect for nursing children with asthma at home. Objective: In order to provide scientific basis for popularization of home nursing and improve the effect of the asthma children home self-care behaviors, the role of home nursing behavior intervention was explored. Methods: 100 children with asthma were randomly selected from Childhood asthma. All 100 cases were divided into intervention and control groups, n = 50. Control group was given conventional treatment and care models. In addition to the conventional treatment and care, intervention group Would also receive the intervention for home self-care behavioral for 3 months. The home nursing behavior ability of Children in home care was investigated using a self-designed questionnaire of home nursing in home care, while observing the symptoms of asthma, C-ACT test, lung function, asthma attacks, emergency number, the days absent and days of hospitalization and other asthma-related health indicators. Results: The datas of 90 cases with asthma were actually collected from the initial study enrolled 100 patients, 47 patients in intervention group, 43 cases in the control groupThe total dropout rate was 10%. The results show:(1) The children receiving the intervention significantly increased the ability of home care . Before the intervention, two groups of children home care behavior questionnaire total score were in the middle and lower level, and in all dimensions of home care questionnaire, asthma control and monitoring line the lowest score. Self-care in the home questionnaire in each dimension, particularly in monitoring asthma control behavior line the lowest score. The home care behavior total scores before and after intervention respectively were. 50.5 points and 87.2 points in the intervention group. After the intervention, the home care behavior total score significantly increased, and was significantly higher than home care behavior total scores 57.8 points in control, the difference was statistically significance (P <0.01). After intervention for 3 months, nursing home behavior total score incresed to 78.1 point in the intervention group, significantly higher than55.7 score the control, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01). (2) After the intervention, the asthma symptoms was decreased. Before the intervention, Daytime symptoms of asthma scored 4.0 points and after the intervention, scored 1.9 points in children in the intervention group, but scored 3.3 points.in the control group. the scores after the intervention were significantly lower than before the intervention in intervention group , but also significantly lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01). Nighttime asthma symptoms, in children of the intervention group, before the intervention scored 3.5 points ,after the intervention scored 1.4 points; in the control group ,score of 2.5 points. After the intervention intervention group scored only was significantly lower than before the intervention, but also was significantly lower than in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01). (3) Assessment asthma control rate using childhood asthma questionnaire after the intervention using a questionnaire, Asthma total control ratewas 85.1% in the intervention group, and 60.5% in the control group, the intervention group was significantly higher, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01 .) (4) The number of asthma attacks after the intervention, emergency number, the number of absence days and hospitalized four indicators in the intervention group and control group difference was different statistically significant (P <0.01).Conclusion: Children Home care for asthma significantly improved home care behavior. After the intervention, significantly improved the relevant clinical indexes of children with asthma. Home self-care intervention improves asthma control rate and therapy effect about asthma. This study shows that home self-care intervention to improve asthma self-care home capacity, to a certain extent, improve the clinical health status of children. Home self-care interventions within a certain range. can be extended.
