The Effect Of Closed High-pressure Suction Drainage On First Intention Of Perineal Wound After Abdominoperineal Resection For Rectal Cancer

Object This prospective study was performed to discuss the influence on the healing of the perineal wound by primary suture and closed high-pressure suction drainage.Methods The drainage's volume, first intention rate, infection rate, healing rate and the healing time of perineal wounds of 120 patients with rectal abdominoperineal resection from 2009.01 to 2011.01 are observed. 59 patients,whose wounds with primary suture and presacral drainage belong to control group; 61patients'wounds, with primary suture and closed high-pressure suction drainage, belong to experimental group. The data is used to a Statistical analysis.Results The average total volume of the drainage is 548.3ml and 448.1ml respectively(P<0.01), first intention rate is 74.6% and 93.4% respectively (P<0.01),the infection rate is 25.4% and 6.6% respectively (P<0.01)and the average healing time is 20.1days and 13.5days(P<0.01) respectively.Conclusion It can optimize perineal wound healing ,reduce the infection rate and healing time that using closed high-pressure suction drainage following rectal abdominoperineal resection.
