| Objective To investigate the difference of RUNX3, p21WAF1/CIP1 and cyclinD1 protein expressions between human hepatocellular carcinoma tissue and corresponding cancer-adjacent tissue; To explore correlation of RUNX3, p21WAF1/CIP1 and cyclinD1 expression in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) ; To analyze the relationship between RUNX3, p21WAF1/CIP1, cyclinD1 proteins expressions and clinical pathological Parameters. Methods Western Blot was used to detect the expression levels of RUNX3, p21WAF1/CIP1, cyclinD1 proteins in 43 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma tissue and corresponding cancer-adjacent tissue. Their clinical pathological data was collectted as well. Software SPSS16.0 was used for statistical analysis. Results The expression of RUNX3 protein in hepatocellular carcinoma tissue was significantly lower than that in corresponding cancer-adjacent tissue (P<0.05) ; the expression of p21WAF1/CIP1 protein in hepatocellular carcinoma tissue was significantly lower than that in corresponding cancer-adjacent tissue (P<0.05) ; the expression of cyclinD1 protein in hepatocellular carcinoma was significantly higher than that in corresponding cancer-adjacent tissue (P<0.001) ; RUNX3 protein expression is not found to be statistically associated with sex , age , HBsAg , AFP , size of tumor , the portal vein tumor thrombosis (P>0.05) , It is significantly correlated with TNM stage and pathological classification (P<0.05) ;p21WAF1/CIP1 protein expression is not found to be statistically associated with sex , age , HBsAg , AFP , size of tumor , the portal vein tumor thrombosis , TNM stage (P>0.05) , It is significantly correlated with pathological classification (P<0.05) ; CyclinD1 protein expression is not found to be statistically associated with sex , age , HBsAg , AFP , size of tumor , the portal vein tumor thrombosis (P>0.05) , It is significantly correlated with TNM stage and pathological classification (P<0.05) . RUNX3 protein expression is positively correlated with p21WAF1/CIP1 protein expression in HCC (r=0.696, P<0.001) ; RUNX3 protein expression is negatively correlated with cyclinD1 protein expression in HCC (r=-0.435, P<0.05) ; p21WAF1/CIP1 protein expression is negatively correlated with cyclinD1 protein expression in HCC (r=-0.328, P<0.05) .Conclusions The expressions of RUNX3 and p21WAF1/CIP1 proteins in hepatocellular carcinoma tissue were lower than that in corresponding cancer-adjacent tissue , the expression of cyclinD1 protein in hepatocellular carcinoma tissue was higher than that in corresponding cancer-adjacent tissue , their abnormal expressions are related with the oncogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma ; RUNX3 protein expression is positively correlated with p21WAF1/CIP1 protein expression , and it is negatively correlated with cyclinD1 protein expression in HCC , p21WAF1/CIP1 protein expression is negatively correlated with cyclinD1 protein expression in HCC , RUNX3 protein expression is closely correlated with p21WAF1/CIP1 and cyclinD1 protein expressions , and they are associated with the oncogenesis and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma ; The expression of RUNX3 and cyclinD1 proteins in hepatocellular carcinoma tissue is correlated with TNM stage and pathological classification , The expression of p21WAF1/CIP1 proteins in hepatocellular carcinoma tissue is correlated with pathological classification , the combination of the three detection may provide reference values for evaluating the pathological classification and TNM stage of the hepatocellular carcinoma. |
