0bjective: To investigate the effects of adopting the Stoppa approach in treatment of anterior pelvic ring fracture. Methods: From June 2008 to February 2010, 17 cases of anterior pelvic ring fracture were treated through the Stoppa approach. According to Tile classification,3 cases were Tile type A2, 5 cases were B2, 7 cases were B3, 2 cases were C2. The Stoppa approach was adopted for operation. Plate was used in 11 cases. Plate and external fixator were used in 4 cases. Plate and sacroiliac screws were used in 2 cases. The radiological results were evaluated by using Matta method.Result: The incision length of the Stoppa approach ranged from 10 to 14cm (average 12cm). The operation time ranged from 80 to 120min(average 100min). And the blood loss in the operation ranged from 300 to 700ml(average 450ml). According to Matta method, all cases obtained excellent reduction effects. 13 of them were followed up for 8 to 10 months and clinical bone healing was obtained. Conclusion: The Stoppa approach has lots of advantages, such as small incision, anatomical clarity, convenient reduction, low complication rate and fast rehabilitation. The Stoppa approach is an excellent choice in surgical treatment of anterior pelvic ring fracture. 0bjective:To investigate the effects of adopting the Stoppa approach in treatment of acetabular fractures. Methods:From June 2008 to February 2010, 8 cases of acetabular fractures were treated through the Stoppa approach. According to Letournel-Judet classification, 3 cases were anterior column, 1 case was transverse, 2 cases were T-type and 2 cases were anterior column with posterior hemitransverse. The Stoppa approach was adopted for operation. Plate was used in 7 cases. Plate and sacroiliac screws were used in 1 case. The radiological results and the clinical effective results were evaluated by using Matta method and Majeed method.Result:The incision length of the Stoppa approach ranged from 10 to 14cm (average 12cm). The operation time ranged from 80 to 120min(average 100min). And the blood loss in the operation ranged from 300 to 700ml(average 450ml). According to Matta method, all cases obtained excellent reduction effects. 6 of them were followed up for 8 to 10 months and clinical bone healing was obtained. According to Majeed method, 5 cases were excellent and 1 case was good. Conclusion:The Stoppa approach has lots of advantages, such as small incision, anatomical clarity, convenient reduction, low complication rate and fast rehabilitation. The Stoppa approach is an excellent choice in surgical treatment of acetabular fracture. |
