Purpose:Exam Caspace-3 and BCL-2 expression in rats bilateral stellate ganglion after myocardial ischemia and to exam Caspace-3 and BCL-2expression with in stellate ganglion after myocardial ischemia and continuous infusion propofol.Methods:60 male Wistar rats random were divided randomly into groups (Sham group, n=20), myocardial ischemia group (MI team, n= 20); Myocardial ischemia--propofol group (MI-P group,n=20). At four hour, after model of all rats groups were built successfully, extracted bilateral sympathetic gangliaed immediately. We detected Caspace-3 and BCL-2 mRNA expression with in each stellate ganglion using RT-PCR method.Result:In sham group, the mRNA content of Caspase-3 and BCL-2 mRNA was low, respectively caspase-3=0.09±0.03; BCL-2=0.77±0.15; In myocardial ischemia group, the mRNA level of Caspase-3 and BCL-2 increased significantly compared with sham, respectively caspase-3=0.50±0.07, BCL-2=11.4±0.06(P<0.01); In myocardial ischemia-propofou group, the level of Caspase-3 mRNA increased relatively compared with the sham group, while decreased relatively compared with the group of myocardial ischemia. The level of BLC-2mRNA increased more significantly than the sham group,and also have a further increase than the group of myocardial ischemia.The mRNA content:Caspase-3=0.28±0.05, BCL-2=1.48±0.16. (P< 0.01).Conclusions:propofol is capable of protecting stellate ganglion in rats after myocardial ischemia.
