Purpose: Simple obesity is a metabolic diseases. Based on the in-depth knowledge and clinical practice on etiology and pathogenesis of simple obesity, this paper explores the reinforcing and reducing techniques of acupuncture, and adds to the essential statistical data about the various treatment and their effects on simple obesity.Method: 60 patients with simple obesity were randomly divided into 2 groups, general electroacupuncture group (hereafter EA group) and reinforcing and reducing acupoint group (hereafter RRA group). After one month of treatment, the differences of the two groups before and after the treatment are observed in terms of weight, BMI, chest, arm, waist, hip, lipid, fasting blood glucose level, total cholesterol level, triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein, low-density lipoprotein, integration of symptoms and signs, and the clinical efficacy. Then a database is established and analyzed through the SPSS software.Result: Both the EA group and the RRA group demonstrated weight loss. The performance of RRA group was better in weight, waist, and hip treatment. Moreover, triglycerides, HDL, and LDL also proved that RRA treatment was more clinically significant than EA treatment. The total score of the RRA group, which concerned appetite, sweating, fatigue feeling, big fat tongue, urine and dry mouth, was higher than that of EA group. The effectiveness rate of the RRA group was 90.00%, and that of the EA group was 73.00%. The result of rank sum test was, Z=1.981, P=0.048<0.05, statistically significant. In one word, the efficacy of the RRA group was higher than the EA group. Conclusion: RRA treatment has significant efficacy on simple obesity, and is better than EA treatment. RRA treatment can perform targeted reinforcing and reducing treatment based on the dialectical therapy.
