Clinical Observation Of Tradition Chinese Medicine Mud Moxibustion In Treatment Of 3rd Lumbar Vertebra Syndrome

ObjectiveTo evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of Herbs mud moxibustion in treatment of the third lumber vertebrae transverse process syndrome.MethodThe study is based on the diagnosis criterion which was instituted by the National Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) administration. We have selected suitable eases from the outpatient department of Guangzhou jiajia le Hospital since January,2008 to October,2009. There are 42 cases in Herbs mud moxibustion'S group,42 cases in Acupotomology group.Herbs mud moxibustion group:Firstly some herbs such as Chuanwu, Caowu, Ruxiang, Moyao, Fuzhi, Guizhi, Chishao, Chuanxiong, Xuejie are made into powder and transferred into a paste with water; secondly herbs mud should be applied on the Mingmen, Mhenshu, Qihaishu, and Ashi acupoints of the back; thirdly we can heat the herbs mud using TDP for 30min. If the patient feels too heat, TDP should not work to prevent skin from injury; Endly giving a cup of hot water to drink.Acupotomology group:The first time skin should be marked and given conventional disinfectionthen, we can inject the medince into the tip of the third lumbar vertebra bone surface which is of 2% lidocaine and 10mg triamcinolone acetonide, finally do cutting and stripping with the small knife.By pain appraising in score, composite score of pain, comparison of clinical effects, symptoms and ADL ability score, signs are quantified and be an effective assessment to do statistical analysis.Results(1) Comparison of the Effects:Herbs mud moxibustion group is better than acupotomology group's significantly (P<0.05).(2) Comparison of before and after the treatment symptoms and ADL ability score difference value:Herbs mud moxibustion group is better than acupotomology group significantly (P<0.05).(3) Comparison of before and after treatment poor cost:Herbs mud moxibustion group is better than acupotomology group's significantly(P<0.05).(4) Comparison of before and after the treatment pain comprehensive pointrating difference value is compared:Herbs mud moxibustion group is better than acupotomology group's significantly(P<0.05).Conclusion The Therapeutic efficacy of Herbs mud moxibustion used in the third lumber vertebrae transverse process syndrome has lots of advantage which is hurt lightly, operate simply and fix credibility at the same time improving symptoms, signs and ADL ability. This method can be acceptted by the mass patients.
