This dissertation consists of three major charpters altogether. In the first chapter, the chemical constituents and pharmacological activity of Machilus rufipes were described. In the second chapter, the isolation and identification of chemical constituents of Litsea Chingpingensis were described. In the third chapter, the advances in the research on the chemical constituents and bioactivities of Machilus were reviewed.Chapter 1 Study on the Chemical Constituents of Machilus rufipesMachilus rufipes is a plant of Machilus, belongs to the family of Lauraceae. In our country mainly in the southeast to the south, was growing in 1500-2000 meters above sea level peak forest or evergreen broad-leaved forest moss. There are many species of plants that are widely used in traditional medicine, with significant biological activities, such as analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-infection, mainly for the treatments of abdominal distension, diarrhea, sprain and so on. The studies on the chemical constituents and pharmacological activity of Machilus rufipes have not been reported, in order to discovering the active ingredient among this plant, our group made a careful phytochemical research on the plants, and 8 compounds were isolated from the alcoholic extract of the whole plant of Machilus rufipes, including two novel compounds, and others known compounds, including lignans and steroids, of which 1and 2 are new compounds.Chapter 2 Study on the Chemical Constituents of Litsea ChingpingensisLitsea Chingpingensis is a plant of Litsea, belongs to the family of Lauraceae, mostly growing in the southeastern, south and west to the northwest parts of Yunnan Province on wet broad-leaved mixed forests from 1500-2100 meters above sea level. Its roots, leaves, fruits can be medicine, with a wind-dispersing cold, warm the qi, activate the effects of stasis and analgesic for the treatment of gastroenteritis, stomach cold abdominal pain, edema, rheumatism and joint pain bruises, and other diseases. The chemical compositions of plants are alkaloids, flavonoids, lignans, terpenes, volatile oil type compounds. Researches on the chemical compositions of Litsea Chingpingensis were few reported in the literatures, in order to search for new active ingredients, we have made a more detailed study on this plant. As a result,10 compounds were isolated and identified, including:(+)deoxyschizandrin, heteroclitin B,pinocembrin,alpinetin,7β-stigmasterol,linoleic acid, vanillin, palmitic acid,β-Sitoserol,daucosterol.Chapter 3 Advances in the Research on the chemical constituents and bioactivities of MachilusThere are many species of Lauraceae Machilus, most of them are medium or tall tree, it is rich in resources in our country, and a variety of plants have long been more significant because of its biological activity has been widely used in traditional medicine. In this paper, access to domestic and foreign articles and be based on the research progress on Machilus plants on the last two decades, a summary on the chemical constituents and pharmacological activities of research in modern profiles were reviewed, and it will be usefull and as a reference for the genus development and utilization of Machilus.
