Objective objective to explore the coping strategies, personality and situation of psychiatric comorbidity in patients with chronic pain; and to evaluate the effects of group cognitive behavioral therapy using in the treatment of chronic pain.Method Stepl:collect 62 cases with chronic pain into pain group at random, and make them complete the questionnairs of CSQ, EPQ, SCL-90, BPI; compare the results of CSQ, EPQ with healthy group, and compare the SCL-90 score with the national norm. Step2:select 23 cases from the pain group into the group CBT treat group, and choose another 23 cases with chronic pain, whose information, method and residency time are similar with the treat group, into controlling group. The treatment of the treat group is general treatment and group CBT, compaied to the controlling group, whose treatment is gerneral one.Result:in the first step, the'fantasy', "retreat', and'rationalization'of the CSQ are higher the healthy group(p<0.05); the factor E and N score of EPQ is differ from the healthy group(p<0.05); there are multi-factors of SCL-90 significantly differ with the healty group, such as somatization, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, phobia anxiety, psychoticism(p<0.01), and obsessive-compulsive, hostility higher(p <0.05). In the second step, the score of somatization, depression, anxiety and psychoticism are significantly lower(p<0.01),obsessive-compulsive decline(p< 0.05); and in the controlling group, the score of somatization drops significantly(p< 0.01), and depression become lower(p<0.05); to compare with the controlling group,the intensity factor of pain in BPI is lower, but without significance(p> 0.05),the deduction of interfere daily life factor is significantly higher(p< 0.01).conclusion:the psycology characteristic of patients with chronic pain are:lean to adhibit the coping strategies of fantasy, retreat and rationalization, have the personality of introvision and neuroticism, and hold more mental symptom. The efficiency of group CBT is limited in direct reliefing the intensity of pain, but it can improve the quality of life, and increase the curative effect and satisfaction of the patient.
