OBJECTIVE:To observed Xuebijing-injection's supporting role in the chemotherapy of advanced NSCLC with Yuzu Feiluo syndrome.METHODS:The eligible patients with advanced NSCLC, ascribed as Yuzu Feiluo syndrome, were randomly assigned to treatment group and control group. The treatment group has 28 patients, and the control group has 29 patients. Both groups accepted the GP (Gemcitabine+Cisplatin) chemotherapy. The patients in treatment group were injected with Xuebijing from the 1st day of chemotherapy,50ml each time, 1/day for 10 days in a cycle (every 21 days for 1 cycle and 2 cycles for 1 course). Then the size of tumor, clinical symptom, KPS score, toxicity of chemotherapy, hemorheology(Blood viscosity, Plasma viscosity, HCT, ESR, Fg), inflammation(CRP), immunology function(T-lymphocyte subcategory, NK)were observed and compared. Finally effectiveness and safety of both treatments were evaluated. All the data were used SPSS13.0 processing.RESRLTS:1 The size of tumor:The response rates(CR+PR) were individually 32.1% and 27.6% in the treatment group and control group, and there was no significant difference between them(P>0.05). The stable rates(CR+PR+SD) were individually 75.0% and 69.0% in the treatment group and control group, and there was no significant difference between them(P>0.05).2 Clinical Symptom:The two groups' symptom were relieved(P<0.05). But the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).3 KPS score:KPS score of the treatment group improved was 67.9% of total, the total improvement of the control group was 41.4%. There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05). The treatment group was better than the control group.4 Toxicity of Chemotherapy:Most of the toxicity of chemotherapy in treatment group was lighter than the control group. Including nausea, vomiting, fatigue, constipation, decreased hemoglobin compared with the control group have significant differences(P<0.05). Others, such as leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, elevated creatinine and transaminase have no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05). The treatment group was more effective than the control group in the process of reducing some of the toxicity of chemotherapy.5 Hemorheology:In the treatment group, the Hemorheology(Blood viscosity, Plasma viscosity, ESR, Fg)after treatment was significantly better than the one before treatment(P<0.05). But in the control group, there was no significant difference(P>0.05). The treatment group was better than the control group in improving Hemorheology.6 Inflammation(CRP):The two groups' CRP after treatment was better than the one befor treatment(P< 0.05). There was significant difference between the two groups' CRP afte treatment(P<0.05). The treatment group was superior than the control group in improving CRP.7 Immunology Function:Both in the two group, the count of CD3, CD4, NK cell was lowere(?) after chemotherapy, while CD8 was higher(P<0.05). Chemotherapy can reduce the immunolog function. There was no significant difference between two groups after treatment in immunolog function(P>0.05).Conclusion:Xuebijing-injection applied to the chemotherapy of advanced NSCLC with Yuz Feiluo syndrome contributed to relief of TCM symptom, improve the symptoms of lung cancer an(?) KPS score, reduce parts of toxicity of chemotherapy, and enhancement of the hemorheology an(?) inflammatory. But it can not reduce the size of the tumor or improve the cell immunity. In additior it was proved to be safe. It is an adjuvant that combined with chemotherapy solution in th treatment of advanced NSCLC with Yuzu Feiluo syndrome.
