TH2506 telehandler is one kind of compact telehandler which combines the crane's telescopic boom structure with the loading and unloading function of traditional forklift.It could operate with a wide range of attachments, which expanded the telehandler's working scope such as forking,loading and raising, and improved the handler's adaptability. TH2506 telehandler plays a important role in carrying and heading up the straw.This article is to study the telescopic boom of TH2506 telehandler, using the method of mechanics of materials to calculate the stress on the dangerous section of the telescopic boom, and check the strength.adopted the CAD software of SolidWorks 2008 to build the geometric model of telescopic boom, conbining finite element analysis method with the COSMOSWorks software of SolidWorks 2008 to build active finite element model of the telescopic boom,and then obtained the model's stress distributing result.In this subject we have tested about structure stress of the telescopic boom with electromotive technique.By comparing the stress testing results with the finite element analysis results, we have certificated that the finite element analysis model is reasonable and the finite element method by COSMOSWorks is reliable. After these analysis, we have optimized the section size of the second telescopic boom, and then calculated the partical stability of the telescopic boom. This subject not only assures safty and stability of the telescopic boom,but also achieves the purpose of relieve the weight of the telescopic boom and optimum designing.
