Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure is a variant of the Bambusa textilis. The bamboo joints are smooth while the internodes are long and fiber are good quality. Based on Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure for research object, this research chooses Moso bamboo and Bambusa textilis McClure etc. as comparisons bamboo. The thesis conducts comparative study of the shooting rule, culm growing rule, biomass structure, carbon storage, chemical and physical properties and mechanical strength of Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure, according to national standards stipulated in the testing method and traditional study methods in the JianOu evaluation of distribution from 2009 to 2011. The main research results are as follows:1) According to the results of bamboo shooting rule, Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure shooting period lasts 179 days, from mid-May to early November. The survival rate reaches the highest percentage of 85.5%, from mid-July to early Augus; Low survival rate period lasts from late September to early November. From clum high growth rule, different bamboo shoots of Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure culms growth are different. In stage (August) bamboo culm grows fastest, only lasts 65days; And early (July and June), the bamboo shoots are growing from 110 days to 90 days. The average height is also the stage when the bamboo is shooting mostly, with the culm height of reaching 7.8m; Early (July and June), the bamboo shoots of reaching 6.8m. And September of bamboo shoots of reaching 6.2m in March of next year, because winter . The shedding time of bamboo sheath are in late July, late August, early September and mid-October respectively. Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure of June and July branches out in the end of September and the bamboo leaves begin to grow in early October. Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure of August branches out in mid-October and the bamboo leaves begin to grow in late October. September branches out leaves begin to grow in March of next year. Because October and November of new Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure are growthing very slowly, and there is no new branches and leaves protection, in March of next year are all dead. 2) Bamboo culm proportion takes the largest percentage of 74.62% in the proportion of each organ biomass, which is far more than the corresponding values of Moso bamboo, etc. DBH and average wall thickness of Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure are order significantly correlated with organ biomass. It is estimated that the average culm biomass is 1.52kg per single plant. The average complete bamboo biomass is 2.31kg per single plant. The unit area culm biomass is 32.8t·hm-2. The unit area complete bamboo biomass is 47.78 t·hm-2.3) It proves that in Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure has strong ability of carbon sequestration. The result shows that the carbon content of Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure organs is between 0.3525 and 0.5204 g·g-1. The carbon content from high to low is bamboo rhizome, bamboo culm, bamboo branch, bamboo leaves and bamboo root. The carbon storage of tree layer is 23.77t·hm-2; The organic carbon storage of litter layer is 4.81t·hm-2; The organic carbon storage of soil layer is 65.78 t·hm-2(0 to 100 cm) while the surface soil (0 to 20 cm) is the largest of 35.68 t·hm-2. The storage decreases with increase of soil depth. The tree layer litter layer and soil layer take the percentages of 25.17%, 5.10% and 69.72% of the carbon storage in Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure ecosystem.4) It is found that the basic density, the air-dry and full-dry of Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure are all smaller than that of the corresponding test value of the comparing bamboo species Phyllostachys edulis. All these factors will escalate with the growth of age. Compared with the 2 cespitose bamboo species, the density of Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure is a little less than that of the Bambusa textilis, but bigger than the density of Dendrocalamopsis oldhami (Munro) Keng f. Compared to other bamboo species, the level of the extractive in the liquor of Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure is not as good as other bamboo species which are in the comparison. Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure longitudinal tensile strength parallel to grain at all ages, which will grow through time, is greater than that of the corresponding values of Moso bamboo. The average value of compressive strength parallel to grain is slightly smaller than that of Moso bamboo. The shear strength parallel to grain is all lower than that of the Moso bamboo. The bending strength of Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure from weak to strong are top, center and base, which are in opposite orders to Mao bamboo. The bending elastic modulus of Bambusa textilis var.fasca McClure at all ages are also smaller than those of Mao bamboo. There is no obvious change in different parts of the bamboo, and the center is larger than the top and base.
